8 Nuts & Bolts Questions

Q.  What are your qualifications?

I have served as a copywriter, writer/producer and creative director at advertising and marketing agencies . . . and as a brand management and marketing professional at a Fortune 500 company. All told, I offer more than 20 years of experience in marketing and communications. I am a highly experienced writer who can deliver strong concepts and effective copy for your project.

Q.  Do you have experience in my field?

In all likelihood, yes. My background extends to nearly every industry and type of business. If you sell to business or industry, professionals or consumers, chances are I already have experience with your type of product or service . . . or with something very similar. I never require a lot of "onboarding" and can quickly address even the most challenging projects.

Q. What kind of assignments do you handle?

I cover the full spectrum: website content, blog posts, eBooks, white papers, case studies, brochures, annual reports, email marketing, direct mail, television and radio campaigns and other tactics. I write clear, concise and effective copy promoting a wide range of products and services, from the straightforward to the highly technical.

Q.  Are you also a graphic designer or web designer/developer?

Nope. But I understand how design and copy go hand in hand and how design and UX can impact results. I’ll work closely with your chosen designer or, if needed, I can recommend graphic designers or web designers/developers for your project and manage production for you.

Q.  How much does it cost to hire you for a project?

For any assignment, just let me know what you have in mind and I'll quote a price for you. I work on a flat fee basis, and I provide a written cost estimate in advance of every project. So you will always know what your project will cost. Plus, revisions are FREE for 30 days following submission of the first draft.

Q.  How long will it take you to write my copy?

Every assignment is different, of course. Two weeks is ideal for most assignments, but I realize you can't always wait that long. That's why, after talking with you, I build an agreed-upon deadline into the specifications of every cost estimate. So, even if it's a rush, you'll have my written commitment to meeting your deadline.

Q.  What happens if we want to revise the copy?

Revisions are FREE for 30 days following submission of the first draft, provided they are not based on a change in direction for the assignment. So you never have to worry about the cost of keeping me involved. I'll stick with your project until you're satisfied.

Q.  How do we order from you?

You can schedule a call very easily. Or just pick up the phone and give me a call at 402-238-7531. Tell me about your project. Tell me your deadline. The first thing I'll do after our talk is provide a written cost estimate for your review. If the estimate is approved, I'll then gather any further information I need from you and your team. Then I'll write the assignment. You will receive your copy on or before the deadline date. And remember -- there is no charge to discuss your project with me, no charge for a cost estimate and no obligation to buy.
